If a constituent has an email address in their record then it is automatically entered in the 'To:' box.

The email will appear to the receiver as being sent to their name rather than an address, as reflected in the Name field.

If a voter's record includes a Familiar Name then the email will appear addressed to that name. Double clicking the Name field will toggle between several forms of the person's name varying in formality.

A 'Subject:' is suggested for the email but it can be changed.

Email Utilities panel
The Email Utilities panel is multifunctional.

As HTML Priority Not Logging Send using Outlook HTML Editor
As HTML Toggles the format that the email will be sent in between; plain text and HTML
Priority Toggles the priority of this email through; Low, Normal, and High
Not Logging Toggles the 'Log to Outlook' feature between 'Logging and Not Logging
When Logging is true, emails sent by MrDistrict create an entry in the user's Outlook Journal.
Send using Outlook Sends the current email to the user's Outlook Outbox to be sent the next time the user does a 'Send and Receive'.
HTML Editor Opens MrDistrict's HTML Editor, which is a WYSIWYG editor that can also edit HTML source code. WYSIWYG (pronounced 'wizzy wig') means that the user can create HTML (using a 'word processor-like' interface) without having to actually write the HTML code.

Message
If this email was created by clicking the 'Email it' button from the Notes screen then the 'Message:' section may contain the textual content of the note. If you chose to also attach the Note then the RTF version (with pictures and formatting) of the Note could be included as an attachment.

This message box does not always reflect how the message will look to your recipients. If the 'As HTML' tag is visible on the Email Utilities panel then this box shows the HTML source code of the message. If that is the case, then to view what the message will look like to your recipients click the
'HTML Editor' tag on the Email Utilities panel. That will open the Email in the HTML Editor and you can see how the message will appear to your recipients when being sent as HTML.

If the 'As Text' tag is visible on the Email Utilities panel then the Message is just text with no special formatting (HTML content) and therefore will reflect exactly what your recipient will see.

Email Group (Cc) button
Clicking this button will cause a carbon copy of this email to be sent to any constituent in the currently defined set of records who has an email address listed. This can be used to email groups such as 'Volunteers' or any defined set of records created by Advanced Find, Instant Access, filtering, Groups, or a combination thereof.

The Cc'd addresses will be sent as multiple emails based on limiting the length of the multiple addresses to 253 characters. This should stop your ISP from focusing on you as a possible 'spammer'. Multiple addresses will be visible to receivers of Cc'd emails.
